Cloud

Cloud is an allegory and it is often intended to refer to the Internet in its entirety. It establishes the fact that World Wide Web is a collection of integrated media. Cloud spans the whole gamut of internet activities. The term 'cloud' is essentially used for denoting the converged nature of internet and correlates to the general feeling that internet has an ethereal and nebulous existence.

Individuals are able to access applications, media files and many more resources with help of web servers. Cloud also enables storage of data in different forms. Cloud is extensively used for delivering on demand computing capabilities. Such services are generally offered on pay-for-use basis. The process of offering wide spectrum of services by using the medium of internet is referred to as cloud computing.

One of the most sought after models of cloud computing is Software as a Service (SaaS). It provides easy access to cloud based applications via web browsers. These applications can be instantly deployed and are ready to run without delay. Cloud based services enable access from any internet enabled device and thus offer unmatched convenience of using applications on the go. Cloud computing is also highly regarded for other service models including Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).
