What is Colocation Services?

Colocation services is an option for providing hosting services, to its users. Colocation service is exclusively useful for those small-scale businesses, who wish to have all the features of a large department of Information Technology, but are having limited budget.

Colocation is a joint effort of putting the server machine of the client into the rack owned by the service provider. The owner of the server shares the bandwidth of the owner of the rack, as her/his own.

Colocation service is usually more expensive than the regular web hosting services. The user generally takes her/his server machine to the colocation service provider, to be installed in their rack. The user can also rent a server from the colocation service provider. The service provider provides an IP, power and bandwidth to the server of the user. Once the server is up and running, the user can access the server as much as she/he likes.

What is Cloud Hosting?

Cloud hosting is procuring resources for computing from the provider of Cloud computing. This provider also provides the facility to host data, services or other solutions.

Cloud hosting is an Infrastructure as a Service model of Cloud delivery. It provides a set of virtual and remote services. The Cloud hosting is a service that is delivered on “on demand” basis. This service is hosted on top of the infrastructure of Cloud computing.

Cloud hosing uses virtual hardware, the network service, storage and other composite solutions from a vendor of Cloud hosting. This service is enabled through virtualisation and the total capacity for computing of a data center is delivered and distributed to several users, all at a time.

My Choice will always be Cloud hosting, because of its underlying features and its affordable costing. Cloud hosting is highly flexible service in scaling hosted resources. Cloud provides unmatched security, as many servers combine together to form a Cloud.

ComputeHost - the world leader in providing Cloud hosting service, provides the best Cloud hosting service, at a very reasonable price.
