Differences Between Linux and Windows Servers?
Re: Several differences between the Linux and Windows servers
There are several differences between the Linux and Windows servers but security is the most glaring difference. Linux is designed to be more secure than Windows servers. While Windows support PHP and Apache, Windows generally supports ASP and IIS. Linux is open-source while Windows can be run on desktops through remote connections. Unless you have to use Windows software such as NET, Linux can be a better option for hosting. With Linux, you get to work on a large number of software systems but users have to be careful while choosing the environment. In terms of price, the difference is not very notable.
