Space or disk space relates to the space required on a web server to store the website files. Static websites pages with html content require smaller disk space, however high definition graphic images, databases, and scripts can occupy large disk space. Bandwidth or data transfer is the amount data that is allowed by server to be sent or received by your website in a specified period. This is usually specified on monthly basis and is measured in Gigabytes per month. Web hosts keep track of bandwidth usage and recommend purchasing of additional bandwidth in case of overshooting the bandwidth limit by users.
