Web hosting services are used for running web servers and the scope of these services varies to the great extent. The smallest and the most basic service is a hosting of the web page via the Web interface or a File Transfer Protocol. Major types of hosting are Shared Web Hosting, Dedicated Web Hosting, VPS Hosting, Colocation Hosting, Reseller Hosting, Managed Cloud Hosting, and Cloud Hosting. These are offered by managed service providers on the subscription basis in the form of a package generally referred to as a hosting plan. In addition to these hosting packages, clients can also avail Content Management, Secure Socket Layer encryption (SSL), CDN, and many more services as part of web hosting services.
