It is very vital for your business to have an estimate of how many visitors your website is getting. There are several tracking tools like Google Analytics, Piwik analytics and more that you could deploy to learn about how much traffic your website is generating.

One way is to measure is by tracking the volume and size of the files that are being transferred from your server to the visitor’s computer. You can also know the number of files requested for by a visitor to your web server. Another method is checking on your hosting master panel. You can ask your hosting provider as they generally are equipped with all the tools to track and monitor traffic to websites.

But it could also go off track since at times advertisements and commercials on a web page can pull visitors to that page. Any visitor who moves away immediately after requesting a page is not counted as traffic unless they have stayed for more than 10 seconds. You may also know by the number of visitors that landed on your website. Consumption of bandwidth increases with the increase in traffic so you have to buy your plans accordingly
